Lip Bloks
Lip Blok mouthpieces are a simple yet effective way to promote proper oral posture when drinking from a straw. Start with the longest 3/4" ones (yellow), progressing to the 1/2" (blue) and then the 1/4" (turquoise) in time. Or, use a flexible one (orange, magenta, Lips, or Mustache) and slowly trim the mouthpiece over time. This progression gradually teaches individuals to put only a small length of the straw into the mouth, which in turn prevents tongue protrusion and encourages tongue retraction, tongue tension, cheek tension, and lip closure/rounding.
